The KHS Guidance Department delivers a comprehensive program that inspires all students to take action and responsibility for their academic, personal/social and career development to succeed in their chosen paths and become active, positive members of society. It is our aim to fortify our students with resilience and agency.
We work with students, parents, teachers and community members to ensure quality learning and lifelong success. The team are advocates for students’ emotional and social learning – we assist students in the recognition and development of their unique abilities by encouraging an individual approach to educational and career goals, respect for diversity, and the development of effective personal and social relationships.
Our little Robin mascot reminds us all and that no matter how difficult the journey, or how trying the circumstances, a positive outcome is always possible. We may not always be in control of life situations but we are always in control of how we deal with them - as C.S. Lewis said, “We cannot go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending.”
